New Feature: Faster Linking and Selection in Related Tables

We’ve added three upgrades that make it easier to find, identify, and connect related items like variants, accessories, or documentation inside the PIM. These updates reduce the back-and-forth and friction that often slow teams down when managing large, complex catalogs.

Here’s what’s changing and why it matters:

  • Filter variants by category and family
    You can now filter variant selections by product category or family.  No more scrolling through hundreds of unrelated options to find the right item. Now, you can narrow the view and focus only on what matters for the update at hand.
  • Customize item titles in related tables
    Choose what fields appear as the item title , like name, internal code, or short description. This gives teams full control over how items are identified during selection, making it easier to avoid confusion when records look similar or follow internal naming structures.
  • Preview items inline before linking
    You can now preview item details directly from the selection modal or from an existing related item. This means you don’t have to leave your screen to double-check specs: just click, review, and move on.

Why it matters for B2B and B2C companies

For teams managing thousands of SKUs, product relationships, and regional variations, finding the right item quickly and confidently is critical. These updates help reduce friction when linking data across products, variants, and categories.

Here’s how that plays out:
A product data manager at an industrial supplier needs to link 200 new accessories to multiple parent products. They start by filtering variants by “Tools & Accessories” to cut through the noise. The item titles are customized to show internal codes and short specs, so they instantly recognize what’s what. And when they need to double-check, they preview the full item right there without switching views or interrupting their flow.
